About the Founder
Derek Gerberich bleeds blue and white, and spent more than a decade serving as the Director of Basketball Analytics for the Penn State Men’s basketball team.
He knows the pain of a 2 – 16 record in BIG10 play, experienced the adrenaline of making strategic lineup adjustments on the way to a 2018 NIT Championship, and felt the heartbreak of the close of the 2019-20 season. Yes, Lamar Stevens should be the all-time leading scorer in program history.
Derek started returntorec.com in 2023 because he was craving great Penn State basketball coverage, and just couldn’t find it anywhere else. This is his best attempt to create what he wished existed before.
